Hatzolah of Central Jersey expresses its deepest condolences to the family of Brian
Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealth, and to the entire UnitedHealthcare (UHC) community
following his tragic death. Brian Thompson was a visionary leader whose commitment to
improving healthcare impacted countless lives across the nation.

UHC has been a vital partner of Hatzolah of Central Jersey for many years, providing
steadfast support for our organization and the broader community. They have consistently
demonstrated an unwavering dedication to ensuring access to healthcare and supporting
emergency medical services, including the lifesaving work of Hatzolah.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Brian Thompson,” said Hatzolah CEO Meilech
Esterzohn. “UHC has been more than just a partner—they have been a pillar of support for
Hatzolah and the entire community. Their vision and compassion for others extended far
beyond corporate responsibilities, and they understand the value of helping people when
they need it most.”

Mr. Thompson’s and UHC’s collaborative approaches and advocacy for community health
initiatives have left an indelible mark, championing partnerships that enhanced Hatzolah’s
ability to respond to emergencies swiftly and effectively.

“We mourn alongside UHC and Brian’s loved ones during this difficult time,” said
Hatzolah Director of Development Rabbi Avrohom Waxman. “Brian’s legacy will live on in
the lives he touched and the communities he helped strengthen. Our thoughts and prayers
are with his family and the entire UnitedHealthcare team.”
